Every now and then Punjabi singer-cum-Actor Gippy Grewal keeps us updating about his new projects. And he has recently shared yet another piece of news with his fans about re-releasing his Punjabi film, ‘Ardaas Karaan’ in New Zealand.

Theatres in New Zealand will re-open next week, after months of being shut due to lockdown in the wake of the novel coronavirus. However, things have started to get normal, which leaves a chance for the people there to start off with their normal life. Therefore, Gippy Grewal is all set to re-release his Punjabi film, ‘Ardaas Karaan‘ in New Zealand on June 25.

The makers of the film released the official poster for the re-release on social media. However, the film was originally released in July last year. Gippy uploaded the poster on his Twitter account.

Ardaas Karaan’ is a sequel to the 2016 film ‘Ardaas’. Apart from Gippy the film starred a lot of familiar faces like Gurpreet Ghuggi, Japji Khaira, Meher Vij, Sapna Pabbi, etc. Gippy Grewal has not only acted in the film but has also directed it.

Being a sequel to ‘Ardaas’, the film- ‘Ardaas Karaan’ follows the same narrative, but in a different setting. The sequel is set during the time of conflict among several people and depicts how three elderly men try to instill values in their families amid the conflict. The first part of the film too managed to get a good response from the critics and viewers.

Ardaas Karaan’ managed to do fairly good numbers at the box office and also promoted a positive message through the film in general. Let’s see how will the movie turn out for the audience in New Zealand.
