Badshah on his divorce from Jasmine Masih, relationship with daughter

Badshah, the popular rapper and singer, parted ways with his wife, Jasmine Masih, in 2020 after eight years of marriage. The former couple shares a daughter, Jessamy Grace Masih Singh, born in January 2017.

In a candid conversation on Prakhar Gupta’s podcast, *Prakhar Ke Pravachan*, Badshah opened up about his views on relationships and his separation from Jasmine. He revealed that despite the challenges, he has no regrets about their decision to part ways. “We both tried everything we could to make the relationship work,” he said. “We gave it our all, but ultimately, it wasn’t healthy for our child.”

Badshah also discussed how the separation has impacted his time with his daughter, who now lives in London. “I do get to meet my daughter, but not as often as I’d like,” he admitted.

Despite the split, Badshah emphasized that he and Jasmine maintain a friendly relationship. He shared an anecdote about his daughter attending one of his concerts, although she’s more of a Blackpink fan. “As a musician, it’s a bit tough to see your child prefer another artist’s merchandise,” he joked.

The rapper also reflected on the complexities of balancing a career and parenthood. He mentioned that when children are involved, personal ambitions often take a backseat. However, Badshah expressed his deep gratitude for having a daughter, something he always wanted.

There have been rumors about Badshah’s personal life since the divorce. He was previously linked with actress Mrunal Thakur, though he indirectly denied those speculations. More recently, he’s been spotted with Pakistani actor Hania Aamir, particularly during an outing with Punjabi singer-rapper Karan Aujla in December last year.
