Synopsis

Film Story overview

While on her way from Chandigarh to Amritsar to sabotage her own wedding, a woman encounters a stranger who spends the day with her despite their obvious differences. A Girl from Chandgarh comes to Amritsar with the intention of rejecting a prospective groom and ends up spending the day with a Boy from Amritsar. His constant chatter exasperates her, but they share curious chemistry nevertheless. Between bouts of incessant culture bashing and despite many scenarios where both could have gone their separate ways, they end up spending the day together. She finally decides to return without meeting the prospective groom and leaves a note for him with the Boy.

Movie Review

Chandigarh Amritsar Chandigarh Review: There is no doubt about the fact that the one-line basic concept sounds pretty simple but it is the film’s storyline and treatment that keeps the breeze flowing with freshness. In the film, Gippy has a rather non-serious character who takes life a little too easy and Sargun, on the other hand, plays a girl who takes things a little too seriously.

Gippy Grewal and Sargun Mehta

This is the first time Gippy Grewal and Sargun Mehta are coming together. They both make an impeccable pair. On one hand, where Sargun Mehta’s fierce firey side is something that adds real spice to the movie, on the other, Gippy Grewal’s cheerful, strong and emotional character works to bring a balance. Their better-sweet tiff and amazing chemistry from the trailer and songs have already hooked the audience and a full dose of the same will be served in the theatres. And, if you are a movie buff, you certainly would not like to miss this.
